The film Bloom, is the long awaited film adaptation of James Joyce's novel Ulysses by Ireland filmmaker Sean Walsh. The Film has been in the making for over 10 years and will be available on DVD soon.

Bloom first debuted in limited screening at the Taormina Film Festival in Italy,
June 13, 2003.


In the fall of 2003, Bloom was screened privately in New York and later shown at the Foyle Film Festival in Derry (Ireland) on November 27, 2003.

In 2003, Bloom also won four IFTA (Irish Film and Television Awards) nominations. Angeline Ball won the award for Best Actress in a Film as Molly Bloom at the ceremony in Dublin on November 1, 2003.
Also, Stephen Rea, along with Aidan Quinn and Ralph Fiennes, presented the honorary Lifetime Achievement Award to
Neil Jordan at the ceremony.

Bloom will also be screened at the 22. FILMFEST MÜNCHEN 2004 in Munich, Germany.
FILMFEST MÜNCHEN 2004 runs from June 26 to July 3, 2004.
