"It's just that when people act irrational, it always comes as a bit of a shock..."

- Stephen Rea as Connie Fitzpatrick

"Connie's a contradictory character. He's monstrous, but thrillingly passionate about it. About things that aren't regarded as all that important in the world, like art, literature and music, caring about injustice and poverty. I mean, he has no commercial instinct at all. The way I look at it is, the girls have their self-serving side, too. They're getting a lot out of it, as well. They kind of acknowledge it when they all come back at the end to comfort ill Connie. They're kind of ruffled and bruised, but they do understand that they've been formed, and for the better. They are the people they are because of Connie."

- Stephen Rea from the 1999 Boston Herald article on Guinevere.
